Murphy Doo is a playful, fun-loving pup inspired by my own tricolored Bernedoodle. From silly antics to big-hearted cuddles, Murphy brings joy, laughter, and a little doodley-doo fun wherever he goes. His name is a cheerful nod to all the lovable Doodle breeds — and to the furry family members who fill our lives with unconditional love.

Beside him is Roberta Lou, a spirited character inspired by my own inner child. With a vivid imagination, a love for adventure, and a heart full of wonder, she celebrates the creativity and joy found in childhood. Her name honors my real-life aunts, whose love and encouragement continue to inspire me today.

Together, Murphy Doo and Roberta Lou invite children and families everywhere to read, color, laugh, and let their light shine.

I’m Birdie — a Texas storyteller, doodle lover, and creator of Murphy Doo adventures.

Like many empty nesters, I’ve stepped into a new season of life filled with creativity, reflection, and rediscovering the little things that bring joy. Inspired by family, friendship, dogs, and everyday moments, I began creating stories and coloring books designed to spark imagination, encourage connection, and bring smiles to kids and grown-ups alike.
